POSITION SUMMARY

 

Council Sales Manager recruits and on-boards new members for our acclaimed Asia-Pacific Council program.

For assigned Councils, he/she continually studies Conference Board research work and executive program features to achieve strong fluency about our product offering. In parallel, he/she researches prospective members – both at the company and executive levels – to identify customer needs and match them with Council program benefits, and then undertake productive sales dialogue with prospects via value adding email, telephone and in-person discussions.

He/she works independently and in partnership with colleagues to reach sales targets, build client relationships, and achieve revenue growth targets.  ?

 

PRINCIPLE DIRECT RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The principle direct responsibilities for the job are:

 

  • Learn and continually deepen understanding of relevant Conference Board products
  • Identify, target and recruit senior executives from global companies in China to join our Asia-Pacific Council program
  • Connect with prospective members through tele-sales, emails, online media and meetings
  • Engage in substantive sales discussions with prospect; close sales
  • Build and cultivate lead pipeline
  • Regularly update CRM data
  • Proactively share successful sales and engagement practices with colleagues; contribute to team capabilities and productivity improvement
  • Work on specific projects as needed.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience in consultative sales
