Position Summary:
Provides support for CED Research process and staff.
Responsibilities:
Research
• Conducts literature reviews and other background research under the direction of senior research staff in support of CED's research products
• Synthesizes and summarizes findings of literature reviews for senior research staff
• In some instances, an RA may outline or draft portions of CED research products under the supervision of senior research staff
• Other duties as required
Publication and Outreach
• Plays a major role in the publication of CED statements, briefs, and reports
• Prepares documents for distribution to outside audiences, including proofreading, editing and sourcing of citations; conducts detailed reviews of galley proofs of final reports
• Prepares and distributes periodic electronic newsletters and blog posts
• Other duties as required
Administrative
• Prepares mailings to external audiences in collaboration with other CED staff
• Assists in scheduling, planning, and conducting CED meetings and events
• Other duties as required
Essential Functions:
• Data collection, analysis, and presentation, including charts
• Literature search and summary
• Original writing
Knowledge and Skills:
• Computer use and software applications
• Basic statistics
• Basic economics
Education and Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred
• Research experience highly desirable
• Writing and data analysis and presentation experience
