Position Summary:

The Assistant Producer will assist Senior Producer in the production of live and recorded webcasts, podcasts, and live events or internal meetings. S/he will assume complete responsibility for the quality of the final product in all aspects of the production, be it video or audio programming.

The Assistant Producer will assist with production of webcasts and podcast as well as live events, book guests for host interviews, conduct research on show topics and produce content for digital media including marketing and promotions of all programs as well as conducting research, compiling show data and completing other administrative tasks as needed.

  S/he will conduct and record live and live to tape interviews, assist in the production (including Pre-production and Post-production) of all Digital Media programs and edit          interviews with attention to detail and with the most up-to-date methods.


  • Actively direct the production of live webcasts, initiating process and production improvements where necessary.
  • Follow precise checklists for various live or taped programs, including but not limited to setting up on various digital platforms as well as setting up equipment in a timely fashion when recording in our NYC Studios and quickly turning around the studio to meet increased production needs.
  • Work with guest speakers, including senior executives, in a professional manner, including setting up their microphone and camera shots or even giving them guidance on how best to prepare them for on-camera performances.
  • Conduct technical reviews on all our various platforms (On24, Zoom, Zencastr, YouTube, Vimeo and Microsoft Teams) with external speakers and colleagues both in the NYC studio, and remotely around the world as needed, to test audio and video capabilities, promoting the highest production standards.
  • Quickly and calmly apply contingency plans for dealing with common problems that can occur during a webcast or live meeting.
  • Develop and create (writing and editing) graphics, video opens, promotional clips and compelling “teasers” to attract viewership.
  • Select video clips and audio sound bites from raw material. Edit both video and audio (podcasts) programs, writing descriptions needed to post the final produced segments to the TCB website and on our internal tracking systems (Sugar).
  • Gather any and all of the collateral materials needed for each type of program to post on our site: including short and long descriptions, insights, thumbnails, headshots, bios etc.
  • Work with IT staff on the maintenance of the webcast studio and control room, including the installation and maintenance of production and post-production hardware and software.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

  • Understanding of the latest virtual platforms such as On24 & ZOOM, and proficiency at using Adobe Connect, Adobe Premiere Pro, Livestream, Vimeo, Youtube, and Zencastr.
  • Ability to work in a very collaborative, fast-paced, deadline-intensive live digital studio environment while completing assigned duties in a creative, thorough, and timely manner.
  • Very detail oriented with ability multi-task and manage multiple assignments for regular programs as well as live virtual events.
  • Solid news judgment and an outstanding grasp of politics, history, geography and current events
  • Flexibility to work early mornings and evenings as need for the global organization

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in video production, media or communications
  • At least 3 – 5 years of live production, writing and editing experience
  • Excellent producing, writing and editing skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Teams and PowerPoint.
  • Control room experience, news experience is a plus
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Experience with streaming media a strong plus
  • Open to coaching and learning, but excels at following direction from Sr. Producer while still adding their own creative approaches to producing webcasts, podcasts and videos.
