  • Leads the member engagement function, which is responsible for understanding and matching ESG Center Member companies’ priorities, on a collective and individual basis, to the offerings of the ESG Center and The Conference Board
  • Responsible for the development and execution of comprehensive plan for the member engagement function of the ESG Center
  • Responsible for developing, executing, and refining the “infrastructure” – including processes, reports, and other communications – necessary to implement the comprehensive plan
  • Manages and mentors Member Engagement Associate

Engagement with Members

  • Develops and executes the welcoming, onboarding, engagement, and renewal processes for the growing number of ESG Center Members
  • Responsible for developing and executing a curated Member Engagement Plans for each ESG Center Member, including regularly communicating with Members to review their business priorities and relationship with the ESG Center to ensure ongoing delivery of value and renewals
  • Serves as “concierge” for Members on an ongoing basis to match their requests with ESG Center and The Conference Board resources
  • Responsible for timely and consistent tracking of Member Engagement activity using the CRM and other established systems
  • Effectively communicates the ESG Center’s and The Conference Board's value proposition, projecting knowledge, energy and enthusiasm about research, programs, and services

Engagement with ESG Center & TCB

  • Collects information about ESG Center Members and communicates it to ESG Center team and other Centers, to help shape the ESG Center’s research and programming agenda, and to match individual Member executives with specific opportunities offered by The Conference Board, including programming, Councils, and Conferences
  • Coordinates expert briefing program for Members
  • Provides Member feedback to ESG Center team on the relevance, quality, value and timeliness of insights and services
  • Collaborates with functions across The Conference Board to help ensure seamless relationship with Members, the adoption of best practices, and achievement of The Conference Board’s strategic, operational, and financial objectives


  • Responsible for achieving Center membership revenue targets, including working in close partnership with the Enterprise Member Engagement Team to support Enterprise Members that include his/her Center, as well as US Member Development
  • Oversees the Center Member renewal process that includes but is not limited to contract negotiations, invoicing, forecasting and accounts receivable
  • Demonstrates and mentors others to apply, as appropriate, the Sandler Selling System as a best practice system for engaging Members and developing business
  • Partners with Center specialists to upsell other services of The Conference Board based on the Member’s needs and priorities
  • In partnership with Center Executive Director, builds business relationships and communicates value to prospective with Member Executive Sponsors and other designated member contacts


  • Superior ability to develop a deep understanding of not only Member business priorities, but also   the full range of The Conference Board’s offerings, and to match the two
  • Ability to effectively engage with senior level executives and discuss global business issues
  • Highly collaborative; works effectively with peers and other colleagues
  • Well organized; able to consistently manage multiple priorities while executing detailed plans to achieve desired outcomes
  • Demonstrates leadership in adapting to change, solution orientation and resilience in managing member satisfaction
  • Strong planning, listening, and communication skills
  • Intellectually curious; either familiar with or interested in ESG Center content; ability to remain abreast of developments relevant to Center offerings and Member priorities
  • Strong track record in B2B and/or B2C member engagement, sales, or customer service
  • Minimum 6-8 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; relevant advanced degree preferred
