Position Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist will be accountable for executing in various areas of Human Resources (HR) including benefits administration, rewards and recognition, data and systems administration, compliance and metrics, budget oversight, employee relations and other special projects as assigned. The Human Resources generalist will participate in initiatives and projects to enhance HR processes, systems, and overall efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Execution of employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans and other voluntary benefits:
- Assist employees with benefits inquiries.
- Conduct annual open enrollment process. Prepare materials and execute employee information sessions.
- Coordinate with benefit providers to ensure smooth and efficient administration.
- Prepare annual total rewards statements.
- Prepare and execute programs to educate employees on benefits offerings.
- Benchmark benefits offerings; propose changes as applicable.
- Oversee and ensure benefits compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Conduct reporting activities including FLSA compliance, non-discrimination testing and other related areas.
- Perform audit work to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
- Drive the Rewards and Recognition program: responsible for communications, gather and track nominations for various levels of awards, manage program enhancements.
- Track HR budget and prepare quarterly updates on spending. Prepare numbers for annual HR planning process.
- Maintain and update, as needed, employee files and records including new hires, transfers, promotions, terminations, and all other applicable changes.
- Responsible for the quality and maintenance of all employee data, including EEO/VETS and AAP.
- Manage the organization’s HRIS database and ensure it is accurate and updated. Generate reports and analyze data to inform data-driven decisions.
- Prepare the necessary documents to support employee changes: PAFs, letters, org chart, notifications, etc.
- Manage HR survey system; develop surveys and track analytics.
- Provide support to employees on various HR-related topics, and partner with the Senior HR Generalist to resolve any issues that may arise.
- Complete verifications of employment.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience; experience in benefits administration, compensation, and HR analytics required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, deliver high-volume quality work, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and manage well under pressure. A positive, can-do attitude, mature-minded.
- High degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and diplomacy in interactions at all levels.
- Impeccable attention to detail, follow-through, and ability to anticipate needs proactively.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude with knowledge of HR procedures and policies.
- Proficient in Excel and comfortable learning new technical systems as needed.
