Position Summary:
The Sponsorship Development Associate is a sales position responsible for identifying new leads for Sponsorships, providing preliminary information to secure meetings, and facilitating sales of our Sponsorship products. Being an independent and hard-working professional, responsibilities include researching of companies and executives and following up with executives and assistants to schedule meetings for the Member Development sales team. Success in the position requires the person to possess strong organizational and writing skills and the ability to work under minimal supervision. A grasp of sales strategy as well as a high level of professionalism and strong customer service skills is also necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Through desk research and by surveying colleagues, identify targets for Sponsorship products and the best strategy to gain entry to target companies.
- Communicate with targets to garner interest in the Sponsorship product, overcome objections, and secure a first meeting appointment for the New Business Sales Team.
- Send emails, follow ups, and make phone calls to schedule appointments for the Account Executive including confirming all appointments.
- Support the sales process by providing collaterals and general sales support as needed.
- Be able to have an initial conversation about The Conference Board products and services.
- Ensure that the sales contacts are professional, effective, and appropriate for facilitating the company's involvement with TCB.
- Pull relevant leads reports consistently and per request of Account Executive, and then further qualifying and researching those leads.
- Enters notes into CRM and database per request of Account Executive.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

- Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university with 1-2 years post graduate experience.
- Background and passion in business development, account management, or marketing.
