Position Summary:
Sale of all Executive Programs in Asia. For assigned Councils, he/she continually studies Conference Board research work and executive program features to achieve strong fluency about our product offering. In parallel, he/she researches prospective members – both at the company and executive levels – to identify customer needs and match them with Council program benefits, and then undertake productive sales dialogue with prospects via value adding email, telephone and in-person discussions.
He/she works independently and in partnership with colleagues to reach sales targets, build client relationships, and achieve revenue growth targets.
This senior role involves providing coaching and guidance to junior sales managers.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a senior leader in the sales team to coach and inspire more junior staff.
- Work closely with the Associate Director to develop and implement processes to improve sales productivity and performance.
- Ability to be a “player-coach” – achieving own sales targets and serving as a role model for high performance.
- Learn and continually deepen understanding of relevant Conference Board products.
- Identify, target and recruit senior executives from global companies in China to join our Asia-Pacific Council program.
- Connect with prospective members through tele-sales, emails, online media and meetings.
- Engage in substantive sales discussions with prospects; close sales.
- Build and cultivate lead pipeline.
- Regularly update CRM data.
- Proactively share successful sales and engagement practices with colleagues; contribute to team capabilities and productivity improvement.
- Work on specific projects as needed.
Essential Functions:
- Demonstrated experience in consultative sales.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills – ability to write nuanced, compelling emails.
- Knowledge of multinational companies and their operational environment.

Education and Experience Requirements:
- 5-10 years of experience in sales or business development.
- Expertise in consulting, training or research services.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
