Position Summary:

The Member Engagement Associate position is an engagement and sales support position.  The primary function of the Member Engagement Associate role is to engage with contacts across Governance, Sustainability and Corporate Citizenship & Philanthropy at member companies to increase awareness and utilization of The Conference Board’s entire portfolio of products and services within the ESG Center.  The Member Engagement Associate partners with the Member Engagement Manager to help the ESG Center grow and achieve its financial targets, efficiently track member engagement, and identify key themes to help shape programming.


  • Develops and executes member-specific Engagement Plans to increase awareness of TCB products and services.
  • Participates in the development of account management strategies, including gathering information on the company through secondary resources and their current participation in TCB products and services.
  • Schedules and participates in conversations with executives at ESG Center member companies and prospects in functions across Governance, Sustainability and Corporate Citizenship & Philanthropy to share key insights from our research, webcasts, working group and roundtables.
  • Collaborates with the new member sales team to transition new members and develop a first-year engagement strategy with the Member Engagement Manager and Executive Director.
  • Supports Member Engagement Manager in responding to member requests including expert briefings, research/webcasts inquiries, account access and event attendance.
  • Provides a weekly recap of all member meetings, expert briefings, and new member additions to the ESG Center team.
  • Update membership engagement presentation decks, member experience documents and member engagement plan regularly.
  • Supports CRM management which includes monitoring membership renewals for finance forecasting, adding contacts, member meetings and expert briefings to Sugar database. Also, updates ESG Center mailing list on an ongoing basis.
  • Supports the Member Engagement Manager in managing ESG Center membership renewals including finance forecasting, save strategies and analyzing utilization metrics for retention.
  • Coordinate thought leadership opportunity efforts with Member Engagement Manager, ESG Center programming team, Center Leader and other Center and enterprise teams.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Prospective candidates are strategic, analytical thinkers and results-oriented team players with a customer service mentality.
  • The position requires the ability to be self-motivated and proactive with minimal supervision.
  • In addition, the position requires strong organizational skills with the ability to connect with business professionals at all levels.
  • Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (a plus if majored in Marketing).
  • Familiarity with various telecommunication software (Microsoft Teams, Zoom) a plus.
