POSITION SUMMARY

As our lead Human Resources Generalist, you will play a critical role ensuring that our 300+ employees have everything they need to deliver on our mission. Our people rely on HR to ensure they have the support, tools and training they need to succeed. Specifically, you will represent the organization in everything you do as you manage the day-to-day operations of the department driving key initiatives. You will provide leadership and tactical support on all people-related matters across the business, ensuring best practices and superior customer service. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Department Management

  • Drive, influence and implement human resource strategies that support the growth of the business while ensuring employee engagement and management effectiveness
  • Serve as a coach and trusted advisor on all human capital matters, to business unit leaders and their leadership teams
  • Share relevant insights and HR best practices to strengthen TCB’s overall people strategy
  • Develop workplace practices that ensure exceptional employee experience, an inclusive work environment, support business initiatives, and legal compliance
  • Manage the HR Recruiter and Coordinator ensuring their continuous development
  • Manage relationships with external partners
  • Oversight of Human Resource Information Systems ensuring they meet TCB needs

Recruitment

  • Represent and enhance TCB’s brand in person and via social media
  • Execute on TCB's hiring roadmap in partnership with leadership/managers
  • Design and implement effective employee development and retention programs
  • Partner and guide HR Recruiter/global business leaders to provide best in class strategies to attract, retain, grow and motivate top talent that embodies TCB culture and values
  • Ensure orientation and other on-boarding activities for new staff are effective

Salary and Benefits

  • Maintain and ensure accuracy of all comp data: bonus/merit increases, current comp spreadsheet, annual employee letters
  • Administer benefits program, including serving as the liaison between TCB and benefits brokers/vendors, negotiating insurance renewals annually, planning and implementing open enrollment meetings, retirement plans, monthly vendor billing, and health/wellness programs
  • Liaise with pension fiduciary and pension administrator to ensure compliance
  • Develop and monitor annual HR budget

Performance Management and Staff Development

  • Manage the review process mid-year and annually, calibration meetings, develop timelines for talent reviews, and promotion discussions. Ensure feedback system functionality with IT
  • Liaise with counsel on PIPs, documenting performance issues, separations
  • Partner with SVP, HR to develop a robust curriculum of learning and staff development programming

Employee Relations

  • Ensure an optimal experience across the employee lifecycle to aid in talent development, engagement, and ensure employee retention
  • Counsel employees/managers to settle work-related conflicts
  • Translate employee feedback into actionable solutions
  • Conducts exit interviews
  • Oversees planning of Reward & Recognition program, GSM, Holiday Party, Summer Event, etc.

Compliance

  • Maintain knowledge of national and local laws, regulations and developments in HR
  • Lead and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations of all existing government and legal reporting requirements including Audits, EEO, ADA, FMLA, PFL, ERISA, DOL, WC, OSHA
  • Ensure data integrity across payroll, benefits, HR platforms, and track expenses across departments
  • Ensures policies are consistently applied across the organization and in compliance with federal/state/local employment laws. Employee Handbook updates
  • Manage petition process for VISA sponsorship

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • A Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration or Psychology, or equivalent work experience, is required
  • 10+ years human resource business partner experience
  • Master's Degree or MBA in HRM (preferred)
  • SPHR/ SHRM-CP Certification (preferred)
  • Experience working within a fast-paced, complex, dynamic, multicultural, matrixed business environment
  • MS Office Excel, Word and HRIS

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Demonstrate strong competence in all functional HR areas, including benefits, compensation, employee relations, staffing, learning and organizational effectiveness
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal/state employment laws and a solid understanding of general HR practices, laws and regulations required
  • Excellent knowledge of 403b, 125 compliance, and ACA reporting requirements
  • High degree of professionalism, confidentiality, diplomacy in interactions at all levels
  • Impeccable attention to detail, follow-through, and the ability to anticipate/address needs proactively
  • Present facts/recommendations effectively in oral/written form while involving/persuading others in favor of decisions
  • Conflict resolution skills, adept at dealing w/ complex issues, and experience-honed judgment
