POSITION SUMMARY

The Program Manager will work with the Executive Vice President of, and colleagues within, the Human Capital (HC) Center to create a superior Member experience.  The incumbent will work with the Center’s Executive Director and the Steering Committees of all Human Capital Institutes within the HC Center to develop and execute a strategic plan across all research, offerings (Council and Conference events, benchmarking services, etc.) and assets (web/podcasts, resources, curated newsletters and tools, etc.) of the Institutes, resulting in a comprehensive program that is articulated to our Members based on their professional interests on a quarterly basis. The incumbent will serve as the liaison for all functional areas within TCB in order to effectively execute the strategic plan; partner with internal communications teams for greater prominence and ensure that relevant marketing materials are always current.        

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to the Executive Vice President, Human Capital Center

PRINCIPAL DIRECT ACTIVITIES

  • HC Center Programming – Development. The incumbent will work with the Center’s Executive Director and the Steering Committees of all HC Institutes within the HC Center to develop and execute a strategic plan across all research, offerings (Council and Conference events, benchmarking services, etc.) and assets (web/podcasts, resources and tools, etc.) of the Institutes, resulting in a comprehensive program that is articulated to our Members based on their professional interests on a quarterly basis.  Develop a variety of programming for the HC Center, with a focus on aligning all that is done within an area of expertise that will engage and retain Members and attract prospective Members and sponsors. Working with HC Center colleagues, take the lead in identifying topics, designing relevant and engaging agenda, and recruiting speakers and participants who can add value to events. As appropriate, conduct background research relating to working groups and roundtables. Analyze and produce reports on the effectiveness of the programming against quantitative and qualitative criteria.
  • HC Center Programming – Execution. The incumbent will project manage the execution of all offerings, research and assets and create qualitative and qualitative reports on the effectiveness and impact of programs, as well as work with the communications team to enhance media prominence. 
  • HC Center – Communications. Responsible for developing and executing the HC Center’s internal and external communications plan. Of primary responsibility will also be the content creation of two monthly newsletters for the Center: a) a comprehensive, curated newsletter of all recent as well as future opportunities to engage Members of the HC Center, and b) a short, more generic version for 35K+ general audience. Draft and oversee distribution of HC Center Newsletters and other communications with HC Center Members relating to HC-related events, councils, and conferences. Serve as primary liaison with Publishing, Marketing, Legal, Digital Media, Finance and IT departments to drive execution. Analyze and produce reports on the effectiveness of communications as well as programs against quantitative and qualitative criteria.
  • Reporting/Administration. Managing website content and updating research records. Create a dashboard of key metrics for use by the HC Center Leadership team.
  • Other duties as assigned. These include, among other things, participating in the development and execution of the HC Center’s strategic and operating plans.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working with C-Suite executives, including CEOs, Chief Human Resources Officers, heads of Diversity, Learning, etc. as well as other Center leaders and board members
  • Human Capital/HR experience or working knowledge of the human resources/human capital profession and its many disciplines
  • Excellent academic credentials required; advanced degree desired
  • Project Management Certification highly desired
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience working with financial reporting using Excel spreadsheets
  • Program Management experience
  • Basic familiarity website content management
  • External and internal communications experience
