Position Summary:
Working in close collaboration with colleagues in the ESG Center, takes the lead in developing, executing, and promoting corporate governance- and ESG-related programming, including Member-only roundtables, working groups, Center briefings, and annual ESG summit, as well as public-facing webcasts and podcasts. Helps develop ESG Center-related conferences to be managed by Executive Programs. Plays a central role in the ESG Center's strategic, operational, research and program planning process, tracking progress against plans, and coordinating internally with other Centers and functional areas.
Responsibilities:
- Program Development. With input from ESG Center colleagues, takes the lead in identifying governance topics, designing relevant and engaging agenda, and recruiting speakers and participants who can add value for Member-only and public-facing programs.
- Program Execution. Manages logistics for all governance-related programs, including working closely with the Digital Media team. May also co-moderate programs.
- Program Communication. Writes and/or collaborates with Marketing department in drafting invitations and other communications relating to events.
- Program Follow-up. Produces follow-up communications summarizing the programs, which include weekly ESG Alerts for Members, and analyzes and produces reports on the effectiveness of the programming against quantitative and qualitative criteria.
- Conferences. Works with Executive Programs to develop agendas and identify speakers and attendees for conferences managed by Executive Programs, and work with other TCB Centers to identify speakers for governance and ESG-related topics at their events.
- Planning. Manages, under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Center's annual strategic and operational planning processes; tracks progress against those plans; with fellow Program Manager (who focuses on Sustainability and Citizenship programs) develops and maintains ongoing programming plans.
- Coordination. Facilitates collaboration within ESG Center (including arranging weekly ESG team meetings) and with other Centers and functional areas of The Conference Board.
- ESG Center Fellow program. Coordinates the ESG Center Fellow program.
- Other duties as assigned. These can include, among other things, opportunities to write publications, appear in ESG Center programs, and participate in Conference Board internal committees.
- Coordinating ESG Center's plans and operations internally and with other parts of The Conference Board

- Knowledge of and experience in corporate governance principles and concepts

- Ability to take the lead on a project while collaborating seamlessly with fellow ESG Program Manager, Researchers, Member Engagement, and colleagues across The Conference Board
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent academic credentials required; advanced degree desired
- Program management experience
- Experience working with senior business executives and/or board members
